Check my Insta for #HistoryMinute and #HistoryHelp
Greetings friends, students, and fellow teachers! This school year I am dedicating a some time to reach beyond the halls of my own institution of learning and connect with those who are looking for a little help in history class. I know there are plenty of slick Youtube accounts out there providing useful information - but my no BS colloquial style might be more to your liking. And…I try to give everyone something extra to think about along some critical thinking lines that you probably won’t find on other platforms (or in prep books, for that matter).
So - here’s what you do…fist, follow my Insta account. I post several times a week. Also, it’s a good idea to follow the #HistoryHelp and $HistoryMinute hashtags (these work best on your phones…QR codes below) and check out all of my REELS that have gone up over the last several weeks. I have heard from all sorts of people - including students and teachers who have found them very helpful. They are short, to the point, and designed to help you think about things in all sorts of ways. And what’s more - these are not agenda driven - HUZZAH!! - but rather, meant to look at all sorts of perspectives. In short - I think people studying history should know what motivated historical actors to do what they did in the context of their own times.
If you dig all that, then you will be happy to learn that I am currently developing a much bigger platform providing a comprehensive take on United States History, which will include live office hours sessions where we can discuss the material. Stay tuned!
With compliments,
Keith
